 What did you learn about from looking at other’s pinterest boards that you didn’t know before today?

-while looking over the Slave Music "museum" i learned how much music impacted and helped the slaves during the 1800's. i read how they would sing in times of despair, or just to pass time while working in the fields. i thought it was interesting because still now in present day, people use music as an escape like they did back then. Along with the Slave Music "museum" i looked over the Racial Discrimination "museum" and learned about just how bad the discrimination had gotten. from the images of the wounds to the empowering quotes. i felt really sad just thinking about how much pain these people went threw and how no one felt for them while doing these horrendous crimes. Lastly, i looked at the Slave Work Routines "museums" and learned about the horrible and inhuman working condition's that African Americans faced. they where town apart from their family and never saw each other again as they where sold to different people all around the south. what i found interesting about this was how did one work with these conditions? why did they not just give up?
